Split-Compact Wellheads

Split-Compact Wellheads Systems allow to perform drilling operations as Compact Wellhead, running each Casing Hanger and Pack-Off through BOP; in case of Casing stuck scenario, it is possible to break intermediate connection in order to install Slip Hanger, in the same way of a Conventional Wellhead.

BMB Split-Compact wellhead is composed by multiple spools to accommodate all required Casing Hangers. All spools are flanged and pre-assembled as one single housing

WELLHEAD SPECIFICATION

Main features:

  • Flanged connections;
  • Single 45° landing shoulder to support multiple casings load;
  • Same nominal size spools are pre-assembled and installed as one single body;
  • Interchangeability of components to reduce inventory;
  • The drilling operations are performed as in a Compact Wellhead;
  • Pack-Offs with testable elastomeric seals locked in place by Lock Down Screws;
  • Studded Side Outlets with Valve Removal Plug thread;
  • Contingency system, composed by Slip Hanger and Pack-Off, installed just as conventional WH, without the need of internal casing cut;
  • Housing bottom connections: Slip on Weld, Slip Lock, Threaded Connection;
  • Landing Base option, to transfer wellhead loads to Conductor Pipe or Cellar Floor.

BSC Split-Compact wellhead is composed by multiple spools to accommodate all required Casing Hangers. The adoption of Quick Lock Connectors instead of flanges for the BOP connections allows a drastically reduction of the working time on the Rig.

  • Intermediate connections between pre-assembled spools can be either Flanged or Quick Lock type;
  • Pack-offs with testable elastomeric seals locked in place by positive snap ring;
  • Studded Side Outlets with Valve Removal Plug thread;
  • Contingency system, composed by Slip Hanger and Pack-Off, installed just as conventional WH, without the need of internal casing cut;
  • Housing bottom connections: Slip on Weld, Slip Lock, Threaded Connection;
  • Landing Base option, to transfer wellhead loads to Conductor Pipe or Cellar Floor.
